Abstract. Today the mass media are forming a new level of relations between the countries, creating a global infrastructure and penetrating almost all spheres of international life. The modern world obeys unwritten rule: the actual event is only real when it is told by the media and presented appropriately to a wide audience. Regardless of the fact that diplomacy is a relatively conservative area, the major media and global change cannot circumvent it. It is they – the media are supposed to play a fundamental role in international relations reflection. This article discusses how the media reflect the foreign policy of Bulgaria, what value they had at the national and international level in the period 2010 – 2016 years.
Key words: foreign policy, mass media, international relations, society, Republic of Bulgaria
