PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN THE U.S.: VOTER REVOLUTION?

Abstract. The U.S. presidential election has aroused great interest worldwide, because opponents were not just the leaders of the two main rival parties, but the representatives of very different political cultures – a representatives of the Washington establishment and the foreign policy elite, Hillary Clinton and a businessman without any experience of political struggle or public administration D.Trump. In their campaign elements of political show were combined with real discussion about important social issues: economic stagnation, uncertainty in the economic future of the middle class, threats of illegal immigration and terrorism. The article discusses the role of these issues in the choice of the voters.
