Abstract: special attention in the article is paid to the participation of the Russian youth in the electoral processes as one of the factors of civil and patriotic education of the coming generation in modern conditions. The participation of the Russian youth in the elections is considered not only in the status of observer but as the subject of public control. At the same time the author accentuates the attention on the fact that the active participation in the election and execution of public control requires from youth the morality to the right degree, responsibility, maturity of political awareness and culture, understanding of gravity of conducting the processes which are really fateful for all Russian society.
