Readings on Advertizing opened editor in chief "Communicology" Felix Sharkov

On December 3, 2013 in Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs "Readings on Advertizing" were held in the framework of the 20th anniversary of the Russian Association of Communication Agencies (ACAR). This is the first such event in the history of the Association. It was held in the format of "round tables" moderated by Mr. A.I. Kovylov, co-chair of the Commission on HR and vocational education of ACAR, GREY Group President in the CIS, PhD in History, and Mr. A.V. Milekhin, president of research holding ROMIR, president of the Russian Association of Marketing, Head of ISPR Case Studies Centre of RAS, Doctor of Sociology, PhD in Psychology. Participants of "Readings on Advertizing" were leading scientists, professors, authors of students’ course books, training courses, specialists, experts in the field of advertising, marketing, branding from the agencies - ACAR members.
 
A lively, motivated discussion involved the practitioners of advertising and those working in various fields of science, whose research and academic activities have a significant influence on the development of modern Russian commercial communications.
The reports and presentation informed of the latest scientific developments and achievements in teaching advertising and related disciplines – economics, marketing, management, sociology, cultural studies, philology, psychology, psycholinguistics, etc. which have a direct or indirect impact on the quality, content and level of development of modern Russian advertising.


A report at the Readings was made by Mr. Felix Izosimovich Sharkov, editor in chief of the international scientific journal Communicology, Head of Department of Social Relations and Media Policy, Deputy Director of the Institute of Public Administration and Staff Management of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Social Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of Russia, Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation on the Topic: ”DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE “COMMUNICOLOGY” AS A METHODOLOGICAL BASIS FOR ADVERTISING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS”.
The author gave his vision and definition of the method of the newly emerging science - communicology. He described the subject of study of communicology, introduced its terminological apparatus, familiarized with theoretical and applied aspects of its development.

Other reports were made by leading scientists and researchers in the field of advertising, PR, branding and communications.
