Abstract. In article the attention to the continuing process of institutionalization of an elitology paradigm in the Russian political science supported by development of a number of schools of sciences in a political elitology is paid. On the basis of the expert survey conducted in 2016, leaning on tools of the Rostov scientific elitology school tendencies of changes and positioning of modern Russian political elite are analyzed. Threats and risks of oligarchization, corruption, bureaucratization
of the Russian ruling elite are shown. Recommendations and conclusions are stated which can reduce the specified risks for national security and increase efficiency of elite actions.
