THE SOUTH CAUCASUS IN RUSSIA'S FOREIGN POLICY. COMMUNICATION ANALYSIS

Abstract: The value and place of South Caucasus for foreign policy of the Russian Federation is considered in this article. It is noted that many states of the world are interested in that, to control rich natural resources and unique transport communications of this region. After collapsing of the Soviet Union the region turned into a battlefield between great powers of the world. The USA declared South Caucasus a zone of important interests. Russia didn’t recognize the interests of other states in the region. In the article strategy of behavior and the main interests in the region is considered. It is shown that South Caucasus represents huge value for geopolitical interests and national security of the Russian Federation.
