Abstract: The article analyzes the role of religious leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia in resolving the Karabakh conflict. This article contains unique documents following the meeting of religious leaders in 1993-1995 from the archive of the Department for external Church relations (DECR). The peacemaking potential of religion in conflict resolutions is comprehended.
