VOTERS IN THE USA AND RUSSIA: EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ELECTIONS

Abstract:the article compares the attitudes and concerns of voters in the USAand in Russia at the beginning of election campaigns, messages which they address to the candidates for the highest positions in the government, how they formulate the main problems facing their countries, the main security risks, how assess their living standards. Assessments of Russian-American relations and other international problems are compared. The development of Russian-American relations will largely depend on who will become a partner of Putin in establishing a new “reset” or” overload” in this relationship, and how future leaders of the two countries will interpret messages, the mandates of their constituents.
